SHELBY & ISAAC
THE PINES AT GENESEE
When Isaac decided that he was going to propose to Shelby, he took a unique approach, masterminding a plan where Shelby ended up organizing a surprise birthday party for him. Unbeknownst to her she was actually planning her own engagement party (Dallas Cowboys birthday cake included). When she showed up he turned the tables with a surprise of his own by popping the question in front of family and friends. So sly!
Shelby and Isaac began their wedding day in Evergreen, where they started getting ready with their closest friends. When we arrived, I was greeted by Shelby's doppelganger - her sister. Shelby had told me she had a sister and they looked a lot alike, but wow, was I nearly fooled!
A light rain tapered off and the sun came out as guests began to arrive at The Pines at Genesee. I think we were all a little relieved that the weather looked like it would hold out for their ceremony. The energy began to build as guests greeted Isaac, ready to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter for these two. All the pieces of their wedding day fell into place when Shelby and Isaac first laid eyes on each other. It was at that moment when the day really came to life. The tears started flowing and set the tone for what turned out to be an incredibly emotion-filled day. From Isaac's daughter singing during their ceremony to heartfelt speeches, their wedding was really an intimate celebration, truly reflecting the genuine people they are and their love for one another.
After the ceremony, we enjoyed exploring the beauty that surrounds The Pines at Genesee with these two during golden hour as we trekked through the sunlit forest behind the ceremony site, a beautiful backdrop for some portraits. We were even lucky enough to sneak the newlyweds back outside during the reception for a few sunset shots.
While dancing the night away, the DJ played some oldies but goodies which got Shelby out on the dance floor and yes, as you might expect, she owned it! Between NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys, she and her sister had the words and dance moves down. She even taught Isaac a few signature moves!
Congratulations Shelby & Isaac!
