STEAMBOAT SPRINGS FALL WEDDING

AURUM

We could barely contain our excitement when we arrived at Steamboat Springs for Jill & Jeremy’s fall wedding because the whole town was absolutely glowing in fall color! Sometimes I play down the fall season a bit since I’m never ready for the cold weather that is just around the corner, but we could not help but gawk at this gorgeous scenery. We mean it when we say, every deciduous tree was in peak mode and the town was just surrounded by vibrant gold – it was stunning.

We joined these two at separate homes in Steamboat Springs while they got ready for the day with their wedding party. Each place was bustling with laughter as they caught up with friends and family. Jill popped some champagne and one of her friends gathered everyone for a short meditation reflection, a sweet moment where she wished Jill and Jeremy a lifetime of happiness, bringing Jill to tears. Meanwhile the guys dabbled in a bit of soccer in Emerald Park just before the first look.

Jill and her bridesmaids headed over to the Yampa River Botanic Park in Steamboat Springs for the first look. If I didn’t think Steamboat Springs could be more stunning in the fall – this Botanic Park proved me wrong. Surrounded by flowers and towering golden trees, this spot could not have been a more picturesque location. To make it even better, the colorful leaves and beaming blue sky were reflected in the stillness of Peter’s Pond, doubling the beauty of this fall Steamboat Springs day.

These two newlyweds shared a sweet moment during their first look before portraits in one of the most jaw-dropping scenes we’ve ever photographed. One visitor who stopped to wish Jill and Jeremy congratulations said they had been to this park a dozen times before and had never seen it this beautiful. We don’t doubt it – it was absolutely dreamy!

More than anything, it was of the utmost importance to Jill and Jeremy to spend as much quality time as they could with their guests so they planned for a lengthy welcome cocktail hour which allowed them to socialize with their friends and family before the ceremony took place. At Aurum, guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and drinks on a vibrantly warm October afternoon by the Yampa River in Steamboat Springs.

Their ceremony was intimate and unique, each of them taking turns to read heartfelt vows to each other. Following their ceremony, guests reconvened indoors for toasts and both of their brothers gave speeches that made this packed dining room roar with laughter. As the temperature quickly dropped in the evening, Jill and her dad took center stage indoors on the dance floor! A lively night of dancing was the perfect way to cap off their beautiful Steamboat Springs wedding.

We could not be happier for these two – congratulations Jill & Jeremy!
