ESTES PARK, CO
In the days leading up to Colleen & Will’s Black Canyon Inn wedding, Estes Park was blanketed in fresh white powder. It’s well known that weather in the mountains can be unpredictable, but it’s even more dicey in months like October which could become a sunny, crisp fall day, a frigid snowstorm or a mix of the two. Luckily for them, sunshine warmed their day which made the outdoors enjoyable even though some snow still lingered.
Colleen and Will tied the knot at The Boulders at Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park and they shared their vows in front of towering glass windows with panoramic views of Rocky Mountain National Park’s Longs Peak, Continental Divide and Lumpy Ridge. Black Canyon Inn is an idyllic setting for a romantic mountain retreat and really gave their East coast visitors a true mountain experience.
After the ceremony, we took the newlyweds for some portraits on the outskirts of the property during golden hour when the light was dreamy, and then they were off to celebrate with dinner and dancing in the reception hall. After the first dances, they handed over the mic to their friends and family, who shared some hilarious, heartfelt speeches that had the guests roaring with laughter. Colleen’s sisters brought champagne guns which turned out to be a huge hit and the newlyweds attached a bottle of champagne to the spray diffuser and shot bubbly champagne all over. It was a night to remember!
Congratulations Colleen & Will!
