Denver Wedding Photos
Chantelle and Chad’s Denver Botanic Gardens wedding unfolded across a few familiar corners of Denver and Cherry Creek, moving from the Halcyon Hotel to the Romantic Gardens, and ending with a small, personal reception at home. The day stayed focused on a tight group of people who matter most to them—and their pup, Maverick, who was part of every chapter.
The morning of their Denver Botanic Gardens wedding started in two places. Chantelle got ready at the Halcyon Hotel in Denver with her friends. It was a quiet morning and a beautiful day, the kind where the pace doesn’t feel rushed and everyone has time to settle in. As final touches came together, Chantelle shared a small moment with her maid of honor: they popped a bottle of champagne, which they brought with them to the ceremony. While Chantelle was at the hotel, Chad got ready at their house in Cherry Creek with their dog Maverick.
Everyone met in the Romantic Gardens at the Denver Botanic Gardens for the afternoon ceremony. From the start, the setting gave their Denver Botanic Gardens wedding a natural structure: a clear gathering point, greenery surrounding the space, and a contained area that suited their guests. The group was intentionally small—close family and friends—so the atmosphere was personal.
They chose not to do a first look, so the ceremony entrance carried extra weight. Chad’s reaction as Chantelle walked down the aisle was immediate. It was one of the most emotional moments we’ve seen at a Denver Botanic Gardens wedding, and it set the tone for the ceremony that followed. Because he hadn’t seen her earlier in the day, the aisle moment wasn’t just a formality, it was the first time everything became real in front of the people they love.
The ceremony itself stayed emotional, especially for Chad. In a small ceremony, and the emotion was part of the experience. Chad wore his feelings openly. After their first kiss, they had a bubble recessional through the Romantic Gardens. Bubbles drifted through the afternoon air as they walked back up the aisle, and that recessional became the transition point. Immediately after, they reunited with close family, taking time to be together before stepping away for newlywed portraits.
Following the ceremony, we took Chantelle and Chad around the gardens for newlywed portraits. One of the benefits of a Denver Botanic Gardens wedding is the variety of backdrops within a short distance. Rather than spending time driving between locations, they could walk, pause, and take photos in a way that kept them connected to the day.
From there, the day moved back toward Cherry Creek and the Halcyon Hotel. On the hotel balcony, the weather delivered an unexpected highlight: a double rainbow. We took balcony photos with Chantelle and Chad and Maverick, and the rainbow on a balcony overlooking the Denver skyline and it was magical! Later, we stepped outside RH Restoration Hardware in Cherry Creek for a few photos with their friends’ gorgeous Cadillac.
The final chapter of their amazing Denver Botanic Gardens wedding took place at their house with a small but intimate reception. It mirrored their ceremony’s tone but with a more relaxed, laid back structure. Their friends gave personal toasts that brought the emotion back to the forefront, then shifted into karaoke and a fun night with the people closest to them!
Congratulations on this next new chapter guys!
