Estes Park Engagement Photos
Lisa and Banks’ winter Moraine Park engagement photos in Rocky Mountain National Park were photographed by our Associate, Rebecca, in Estes Park right before the holidays. Winter photos aren’t always they seem, the reality is it’s cold, windy, and it requires a whole lot of commitment from couples. But Lisa & Banks showed up prepared, and it was totally worth it!
The session began in areas with dense evergreens, which is always a strong starting point for Moraine park engagement photos. The trees provide shade and coverage from the wind, which creates contrast against neutral winter tones. Rebecca kept the session moving at a comfortable pace, so Lisa and Banks never had to stand still too long in the cold. That approach is especially helpful when the weather is a factor.
Moraine Park has beautiful backdrops in every direction, especially on a winter day when the mountains are dusted in snow, and these Moraine park engagement photos made the most of it! Between the snowy mountains in the distance and the open meadows in the foreground, Lisa and Banks were surrounded by stunning natural beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park, without making them feel lost in the frame. Rebecca used a mix of wide environmental portraits and tighter compositions, to capture the best of both their connection and the place.
The wind created some of the most memorable frames. We love a good windswept look that’s hard to replicate on a calm day. Instead of fighting it, Lisa and Banks leaned in, stayed close, and kept things relaxed. Lisa and Banks popped a bottle of champagneto wrap up their Moraine park engagement photos, a quick celebratory moment before heading back to warm up.
As our last engagement session of the 2025 season, these Moraine park engagement photos were a strong note to end on! We can’t wait to celebrate these two at Bonnie Blues Event Venue next July!
