Colorado Springs Wedding Photos
Liz & Adam’s Broadmoor Hotel wedding, featuring a ceremony at the Lakeside Terrace and an elegant reception in the main ballroom, was everything they had hoped for! The weekend began with a relaxed Memorial Day in Colorado Springs and ended with a high-energy celebration!
The night before their Broadmoor Hotel wedding, Liz and Adam hosted a rehearsal dinner at Night Ramen in Colorado Springs. It was an easy start to the weekend: good food, their closest people all together, and time to settle in and catch up with guests who traveled from all over (including South Africa) before the wedding day began.
On the morning of their Broadmoor Hotel wedding, Liz got ready in a suite at The Broadmoor overlooking Cheyenne Lake. The room had a steady, upbeat buzz—music on, people coming and going, and lots of small conversations happening at once. Her bridesmaids helped with the practical moments, including zipping up her gown, but most of the time was spent simply hanging out, socializing, and being present together. For the day, all of her bridesmaids wore green! Adam prepared separately in another suite. His brother helped him get into his jacket.
Once Liz was ready, the first looks began. She started with a first look with her bridesmaids in the main lobby. It was a fun moment and it set a light tone before the more emotional first looks that followed. Her girls were so excited to see her! Liz also shared champagne with her bridesmaids, keeping it casual while still marking the moment as special.
From there, Liz shared a first look with her dad, then headed outside the suite for her first look with Adam. Surrounded by greenery, flowers, and the lake—classic Broadmoor scenery—the moment felt naturally framed by the setting. Adam was thrilled to see her. He hugged her tightly, kissed her, and the two of them were visibly excited that the big day was finally here!
After that, we moved into newlywed portraits around the property. One of the biggest advantages of a Broadmoor Hotel wedding is how many great portrait locations are right on-site. We took photos over the bridge and on the far side of the lake near the West Lawn, with a clear view back toward the Broadmoor.
Next, we headed over toward the golf course for a more private part of the day. We found a shaded spot overlooking the mountains, tucked into a field of red flowers. It was quiet spot on a busy weekend, and it gave them room to slow down. There, they exchanged private vows with each other. They shared some laughs and tears, and we took a few portraits.
Private vows are our favorite. From our perspective, it’s one of the most emotional parts of the day. Whether your words are emotional, lighthearted, or deeply personal, the sincerity behind them is what makes them powerful. We love giving couples the space to slow down and have a moment that’s completely yours so you can tell the love story only you can tell.
We returned in time for the ceremony at the Lakeside Terrace for their Broadmoor Hotel wedding, which has to be one of the most beautiful ceremony spots on the property. The backdrop includes the lake, showcases the hotel and ties the mountains together in one big beautiful bow. Liz walked down the aisle with her dad toward Adam. The ceremony balanced emotion with lighter moments—some tears, some laughter, and plenty of attentive faces in the crowd. When the ceremony concluded, Liz and Adam walked back down the aisle with guests cheering for the newlyweds!
After the ceremony, they shared a brief post-ceremony prayer, then made a grand entrance into the main ballroom for the reception. Inside, Liz and Adam kicked things off with their first dance, followed by a champagne tower pour that became a natural focal point for the room. Toasts came next, first from Adam’s brother, then from the couple, before the dance floor opened and the celebration stayed energetic for the rest of the night! What an incredible Broadmoor Hotel wedding, definitely one for the books!
