Your Session

Our goal is to create natural, fun images that represent you as a couple. Once we start shooting, it may take time for you to feel comfortable in front of the camera but by the end you’ll feel like naturals!

We love to use natural light and therefore we generally begin all engagement sessions 90 minutes before sunset during “golden hour,” when the light is flattering. It’s helpful to remember the sun sets much earlier during the colder months of the year and much later during the warmer months, so make sure to factor that in when choosing your engagement session date.

Throughout the session, we will take some time to chat so we can get to know each other a bit more. The more comfortable we are with each other, the better your pictures will be and we won’t be strangers showing up with cameras on your wedding day.

Beforehand, we will send you an engagement session guide that answers the most common questions regarding what to expect during your session, but it’s definitely not a rule book. We want you to relax, have a little fun and enjoy your session. We will take care of the rest!
